six six six
Our Californication –
What makes a great California style IPA? Simply put: “Straight to the face.” Huge hop aromas waft up your nose and taste buds tingle with bright, citrus, and piney flavors. And yet, with all these wicked sensations bouncing around in your head, the finish is as smooth as silk.
How this beer came to be…
Inspiration. The Golden State, of course. Visits to the trailblazing breweries of San Diego, San Francisco and various towns strewn up and down the sudsy coast. Memories made while swapping stories with the brewers over pints filled with the fruits of their labor.
What’s in a name? This is a devil of a beer. Chock full of the most flavorful, fragrant hop varieties around, SIX varieties of hops, to be exact. Yes, six. Wicked amounts of Warrior, Simcoe, Centennial, Amarillo, Chinook and Columbus were used in the Six Six Six.
Who says brewers can’t be sentimental? A tip of the hat to friends in California, including the guys at the Brewing Network, and a nod to: Mike ‘Tasty’ McDole, Chad Moshier, Nate Smith and Rodger Davis. Cheers, Fellas!
